HUAO White Fused Alumina (WFA) is produced by fusing high-purity calcined alumina powder in an electric arc furnace at temperatures exceeding 2000°C. Characterized by a highly uniform alpha-alumina (α-Al₂O₃) crystalline structure, it exhibits superior Mohs hardness (9.0), high toughness, excellent self-sharpening capabilities, and exceptional chemical stability. HUAO supplies two standardized product lines to serve diverse industrial demands: Abrasive Grade for precision blasting, grinding, and surface finishing, and Refractory Grade for high-temperature furnace linings, monolithic castables, and structural ceramics.

Electric arc furnace fusion above 2000°C develops a dense α-Al₂O₃ crystal network, ensuring high mechanical strength and thermal stability. Featuring a Mohs hardness of 9.0 and good fracture toughness, WFA continually exposes sharp new cutting edges during grinding and abrasive blasting. Maintains volume stability and load-bearing strength in ultra-high temperature applications, preventing premature structural collapse. Low silica (SiO₂ ≤ 0.08-0.1%) and low iron (Fe₂O₃ ≤ 0.08-0.1%) content protect against liquid slag penetration and chemical corrosion. Supplied in granular sizes (0-1mm to 5-8mm) for coarse refractory aggregates and fine micro-powders (200 mesh, 325 mesh) for high-density matrix packing.
Used for dust-free metal preparation, scale removal, and glass etching.
Key raw material for high-speed grinding wheels, cutting discs, and mounted points.
Applied in manufacturing high-durability sandpapers, abrasive belts, and flap discs.
Ideal for optical glass, semiconductor wafers, and stainless steel finishing.
Added as a functional filler to enhance wear resistance in epoxy coatings and composite floors.
Used in high-performance ladle linings, tundishes, and iron runners.
Suitable for glass melting tanks, regenerators, and petrochemical cracking furnaces.
Forms saggers, batts, and burner blocks needing high thermal shock performance.
Acts as a durable aggregate in unshaped castables exposed to thermal abrasion.
Our electric arc furnace melting process guarantees complete recrystallization and uniform grain density across every production batch. Advanced screening and air classification equipment ensure narrow particle size distribution for both granular aggregates and fine powders. Direct manufacturing ensures continuous supply capacity, direct cost savings, and reliable international maritime shipping logistics.
HUAO provides customizable grain size distributions (FEPA, JIS, or custom mesh sizes) to fit exact client process setups. Export packaging options include 25kg multi-layer paper bags and 1000kg/1200kg heavy-duty bulk bags equipped with inner polyethylene moisture barriers, fully palletized and shrink-wrapped for international transport.
